Double Damage Games Announces Rebel Galaxy

Double Damage Games has announced Rebel Galaxy, their debut title. The studio was formed by two co-founders of Runic Games, the developers of the Torchlight series. Rebel Galaxy has players commanding a star cruiser while exploring a randomly generated galaxy, and it already looks like it will have a lot to offer. Check out screenshots and an announcement trailer below. The game is currently confirmed for PC and PS4, with a release date set for sometime in 2015.

(Seattle, WA) – October 15th, 2014 — Independent developer, Double Damage Games, today announced Rebel Galaxy. In this inaugural title from the recently formed studio, the player commands a powerful star cruiser and explores a massive, randomly generated galaxy full of mystery and danger.

Rebel Galaxy is an action-packed, swashbuckling space opera. You’ll battle pirates, explore anomalies, befriend aliens, scavenge battle wreckage, mine asteroids, and discover artifacts. Choose your path as a roguish do-gooder, crafty space-trader or power-hungry privateer – or maybe a little of each! Buy larger and more powerful craft with your hard-earned credits, and outfit them with a variety of wicked weapons and defenses. Set in a galaxy of fantastic sights, and secrets to be found, Rebel Galaxy is above all a space epic of adventure, exploration, and combat.
