NIS America has announced that Volume 1 of Hanasaku Iroha ~ Blossoms for Tomorrow ~ is out now!  This is the latest series that the company has licensed and it will be released in two volumes, with the second one set to release in July.  Hanasaku Iroha is a slice of life show about a high school girl sent to be an attendant at her grandmother’s hot spring inn.  This particular series was animated by P.A. Works (Another, Angel Beats!) and directed by Masahiro Ando (Canaan, Blast of Tempest)  and aired in Japan in fall 2011.  P.A. Works released a movie adaptation in Japan at the end of March and I have to wonder if that might get licensed by NIS America as well if the series does well.  Hanasaku Iroha ~ Blossoms for Tomorrow ~ Volume 1 is available as a 2 Blu-Ray/2 DVD set and includes NIS America’s usual host of extras.  It retails for $69.99.  The show seems like the type that I enjoy watching and I’ll be checking it out very soon so expect a full review in another week or so!
