Idea Factory International has confirmed the release date for Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1, the Playstation Vita of the original Neptunia title. The game will be out on August 26th in North America and August 27th in Europe. Unfortunately if you’re in Europe it’s digital only, but North American fans will have a physical option. The publisher has also confirmed the game will be released digitally in Australia via PSN, but a specific release date was not unveiled.

Although I don’t have a Vita yet myself this is one of the titles I’m interested in grabbing when I do eventually buy one. I liked the Neptunia anime and its fairly lighthearted feel, and from what I understand the first game had a similar approach. The battle system’s also been improved to reflect the more recent entries in the series, making this a game that might be a good starting place for newcomers and a good excuse for established fans to experience Neptunia all over again.

The fall caused Neptune to lose her memories, as learned by Compa and IF, who happen upon the fallen girl.
