This collection has been rumored for a little while now, but Microsoft and 343 Industries made it official during this year’s E3 press conference. This collection for Xbox One will include Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4. Halo 2 is getting the same remaster treatment that the original game did a few years ago, and will include six all new maps built from the ground up for Xbox One.

Microsoft didn’t mention if any changes will be made to Halo 3 and 4 or if the emphasis here will be on the reworked versions of the first two, but did say that the entire collection will run at 60 frames per second on dedicated servers. There will be playlists across all four games and 100 multiplayer maps that are authentic to the original releases. Microsoft also says new prologue and epilogue cutscenes have been added that lead up to the events in Halo 5: Guardians. The best news? It will be out this year, sometime during the holiday season.
