Mythic Blades is a one-on-one fighter in which you take on character after character in order to save Zeus from Ares. It’s not the best game in the world, but it has its qualities.

The gameplay is simple, you have 3 ways of attacking, high attack, kick, and a low attack. You can jump, and you have special moves as well as Divine attacks which are unblockable. You go through each level, and face your opponent. You can set how many times you face an opponent, the author personally set it at one time each. If you have the difficulty at easy, you won’t face the true final boss, and the game requests that you try beating it on normal difficulty the next time. While easy is easy, the AI is fairly cheap and hits you multiple times before you can counter-attack. The good news is that you can easily beat them by blocking or jumping and using your high attack.

The graphics are actually pretty well done, each character model is different and has a second costume to go with it. The Divine attacks are especially well made, and each is very well done. However, the Hydra boss is not very well done, it looks very choppy, and the way its animation runs, it just looks…very strange. It looks weak too, for a boss, the author supposes he is just nitpicking at this point, but when something has the body of an elephant and a really, really skinny neck, it’s kind of…not very threatening.

The music is excellent however, each track provides a distinct feel to each environment, as well as the player of whom accompanies that level. Also, each track is well done and serves only to better the game. The voice actors for each character were also well done, and each character provides something different to the game.

The storyline is really well done, and the game has multiple endings as well of a variety of things to unlock. In all, while the AI is fairly cheap this game is still pretty good although there are some doubts as it does become fairly repetitive.
