Circuit des Yeux will release their fourth album Overdue on October 29th, and the group has premiered the track “Acarina” via SoundCloud. I’ve had this song on repeat for quite some time now, and can’t wait to dive into the rest of the material. Full details below.

Circuit des Yeux’s 4th album “Overdue” will be released on October 29th, 2013. Haley Fohr, the creative force behind the CDY moniker, is releasing the LP on her own Lewis + Lynn Records in special edition, artist-made copies.

Much of CDY’s catalog has been released on De Stijl Records. For “Overdue”, Fohr enlisted Ba Da Bing! Records to help with the CD version and distribution of the record. For Ba Da Bing! owner, Ben Goldberg, it was a fortunate opportunity: “When I heard Overdue, I was astounded, as it goes way beyond anything she’s done before in terms of making striking, challenging and captivating songs. It came to the point where I was almost begging her to help out with the record, and I’m so grateful she was ultimately game.” Both the CD & LP version will be distributed through Revolver USA.

“Fohr has a strong, resonant voice, tipped with gorgeous vibrato in the mid-range and thinning to ghostly delicacy in the upper register.” – Dusted Magazine

“Fohr is somewhat akin to Nico or Scott Walker, both of whose voices are strange, unique, and transcendent – all descriptors that would be hard to avoid when describing Fohr’s singing style.” Music Family Tree
