San Fermin will be releasing their self-titled debut album on September 17th via Downtown Records. They recently premiered the song “Daedalus (What We Have)” on Pitchfork, which follows “Sonsick”. The group mixes elements of indie rock, chamber pop, and other elements together with an experimental flair. Check out both tracks below, and look for the band to be on tour this fall.

Brooklyn based San Fermin has premiered a second track off of their much anticipated upcoming self-titled debut on Pitchfork. Listen to “Daedalus (What We Have)”, which Pitchfork calls, ”
[A] concoction [that] smacks of Sufjan Stevens’ baroque, gently swelling tendencies.”

San Fermin will be released on September 17th via Downtown Records and the band will tour through the fall to support the release, kicking off the dates with an intimate and not to be missed performance at NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge on September 20th. Full tour dates are below.

Led by principal songwriter and composer Ellis Ludwig-Leone, San Fermin is a pastiche of post-rock, chamber-pop and contemporary classical composition. The 17 tracks on the record are strongly influenced by Ellis Ludwig-Leone’s unique background in classical music, which includes a job assisting composer/arranger Nico Muhly, and fittingly features instrumentalists from the likes of Bon Iver, yMusic, and Asphalt Orchestra.
