Sometimes you just want some good rock ‘n roll, and that’s exactly what San Francisco’s Hot Lunch can provide. The band released a new track “Hooray For Everything” as part of the Scion 10 Music Series Release, which is a free downloadable release that comes shortly after this year’s Scion Rock Fest. The track premiered via Noisey, and you can also stream it via Soundcloud here. I definitely dig the sound this band has, it’s reminding me of Jimi Hendrix style rock ‘n roll grooves mixed with a little bit of punk edginess. Check out the the full track listing of Scion 10 below!

Heavy, San Francisco punk ‘n’ roll band HOT LUNCH has just dropped a brand new song on the universe’s skaterock legions, premiering the positively (awesome) titled “Hooray for Everything” via VICE’s Noisey. The red hot new track is taken from the album Scion 10 Music Series Release, a new twelve track downloadable release presented by Scion A/V, the creative enterprise of Scion devoted to the discovery, nurture, funding and distribution of compelling music and arts programming who is celebrating its 10th anniversary and marking the milestone with the release of the free compilation. HOT LUNCH’s self-titled debut Hot Lunch is in stores now. The album features ten tracks described as “gritty blues-rock (that) keeps the tempo driving hard and heavy with generous helpings of amplified tin sludge and plenty of wailing six-string digressions” that “could have easily been plucked out of the burgeoning hard rock scene of the late ’60s and early ’70s, competing for decibels with the likes of Blue Cheer and the MC5” by the San Francisco Chronicle.
