Sherman Baker will be releasing his new self-titled album on February 11th, and “Ducks In A Row” is the first single he has released off the effort. This track was the first time I had heard Baker’s material and it made a strong first impression. It’s a cross between alternative/indie rock and folk rock with a very laid back melody driving the rest of the instrumentals, and the vocals soar over the song in a way that instantly grabbed me. You can check out the video for “Ducks In A Row” below, and download the single for free here!

“Ducks In A Row is a song about struggling to find a purpose in life. We are told to “follow our heart” but what happens when we do that and reach a dead end? In the video I’m alternately dressing up as a Construction worker, Soldier, Referee, Security guard, Farmer and Fireman but none of these new identities really fit and at the end I’m left with the same old self.” – Sherman Baker
