Yellowcard- When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes

It’s been awhile since I’ve heard some music from Florida’s Yellowcard. In fact the last time I’d really listen to them was 2003’s Ocean Avenue, but I’m very glad I started again because their newest album When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes is an amazing album.

One of my favorite elements of Yellowcard’s music has always been the implementation of their violinist, Sean Mackin and it’s even more present on this album compared to previous ones. Ryan Key’s voice has never sounded better and his lyrics seemed to much more personal and revealing than on previous outings.

Overall, despite one or two weak songs, I felt that When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes was their best album to date. I’d give it a 9.5/10. My favorite songs on the album were: “With You Around”, “Hang You Up” and “Soundtrack”.
