Plenty of artists go for a lo-fi sound when creating music, but there aren’t as many that create lo-fi music videos. Singer/songwriter James Younger has done this for his single “Monday Morning”, which features footage that looks like it could have been ripped right out of public access television from the 80s or 90s. The song itself is a catchy, laid back piece of guitar driven indie/pop rock and fits right in with the warmer summer weather here in the U.S.

James Younger left his home town of Manchester in Britain at the ripe young age of 21 and headed for the States. He hitchhiked across America, dissecting life in conversations with all those he came across and scribbling down stories in a notepad he kept in his breast pocket. These conversations and stories became the seeds that would grow into his debut album of pop/rock anthems, Feelin’ American – out on June 25 on Light Organ Records.

Younger’s first single, Monday Morning (the opening track on Feelin’ American) is out now. Northwest tastemaker station KEXP debuted the track calling it, “A catchy as hell piece of guitar-pop that is a radio classic like the Cars would write.” The single is backed with What Comes After The Weekend and both are available now on iTunes.
