Slayer, Exodus, Suicidal Tendencies Set to Hit the Road Again

Last month, Slayer, Exodus, and Suicidal Tendencies briefly toured in the USA, only playing a total of 7 shows, one of them being a part of a large festival.

Many fans (including myself) were very disappointed that this tour was so short, especially since it skipped over many cities. Three legendary thrash groups on one tour should be a large tour right?

Well, as announced on June 23rd, this tour is coming back, only this time, it is longer. The tour dates are as follows:

11/12 Fox Theatre, Oakland, CA
11/14 The Forum, Los Angeles, CA
11/15 Comerica Theatre, Phoenix, AZ
11/17 Bricktown Events Center, Oklahoma City, OK
11/18 ACL Live, Austin, TX
11/19 Verizon Theatre, Dallas, TX
11/21 Hard Rock Live, Orlando, FL
11/22 The Tabernacle, Atlanta, GA
11/23 The Fillmore, Charlotte, NC
11/25 The Armory, Albany, NY
11/26 Sands Events Center, Bethlehem, PA
11/28 The Palladium, Worcester, MA
11/29 Wellmont Theatre, Montclair, NJ
11/30 Tower Theatre, Philadelphia, PA
12/2 Agora Theatre, Cleveland, OH
12/4 Egyptian Room, Indianapolis, IN
12/5 The Fillmore, Detroit, MI

When I saw that my local city (Orlando) was on the list, I was absolutely stoked. This is a can’t-miss tour for a lot of metal fans, as who knows how long these bands will be around for.

The main news for these bands is that Slayer will be releasing a new album in early 2015 and it’s the first without legendary guitarist Jeff Hanneman, who sadly passed away last year. Exodus is reuniting with former singer Steve “Zetro” Sousa after parting ways with Rob Dukes. I believe this will give a little bit more of a classic feel to the show.

Here are some quotes from some of the members of the bands regarding their tour:

“Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus, for only six shows? They were a blast, but everyone knew that wouldn’t be enough. Now’s your chance to see what everyone else was screaming about. ST definitely can’t wait ’til November to do it all again!” – Mike Muir (vocalist – Suicidal Tendencies)

“We are way fucking excited about hitting the road again with Suicidal and Exodus. Fucking intense. See you in the fall.” – Tom Araya (vocalist – Slayer)

“This monumental tour is a heavy metal collision of epic proportions. For my first tour back with Exodus, I’m beyond excited to be on the road with my brothers in true thrash metal! I’m also looking forward to meeting and hanging out with all of the fans on this heavy as hell tour.” – Zetro (vocalist – Exodus)

If you are a metalhead and live near any of the dates posted, do yourself a favor and see this tour, as it is sure to be an excellent show. ROCK ON!
